About the Role

Blendid is seeking a proven Manufacturing Program Manager to join our engineering team and lead multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have experience successfully leading multiple medium-to-high complexity projects on time and on budget.

The candidate will leverage her/his/their experience and passion for converting engineering designs into manufactured products.

The role is expected to be in-person at our Sunnyvale, CA headquarters and reports to the Head of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Simultaneously manage multiple manufacturing initiatives, ranging in scale and scope; ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Manage the relationship with our manufacturing partners and serve as the primary interface of our engineering team
  • Routinely provide and explain designs and other artifacts to manufacturers
  • Manage manufacturing process through regular status meetings via video call and in-person vendor meetings as needed
  • Manage manufacturing project costs, quality checks and timeline targets
  • Oversee timely ordering and receipt of parts
  • Manage project plans, including timely communication of any risks to product, assembly, and parts levels
  • Drive the manufacturing and parts vendor selection process
  • Manage version control of all product artifacts such as BOM, CAD drawings, release documents across tools such as shared drives, PDM, PLM tools
  • Manage financials via Quote, Invoice, POs, payments across multiple vendors in a timely and organized manner
  • Manage the IQC and OQC across vendors, manufacturers and internal teams

About You

  • Five or more years of manufacturing management experience, having launched a minimum of five medium-to-high complexity products
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Industrial Engineering or related field
  • Significant cross-functional experience working with and between development teams, manufacturers and vendors – ideally across geographies
  • Ability to provide summary and detailed levels of manufacturing status as required by each project
  • Experience leveraging at least one project management tool
  • Experience reading engineering documentation such as STEP files, PCB files (at the viewer level)
  • Experience driving decision making with evaluation matrices
  • Experience with documentation management and PDM/PLM tools such as Arena, Agile, or Vault
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Start-up and food space experience preferred but not required

About the Role

Blendid is seeking a strong Mechanical Engineering Director to lead our very talented team of mechanical engineers and technicians.

The candidate will leverage her/his/their experience and passion to solve intricate problems while creating innovative products that are reliable and commercially viable.   

The role is in-person at our Sunnyvale, CA headquarters and reports to the Head of Engineering. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor and lead a group of mechanical engineers to design, prototype, test and manufacture custom parts, assemblies and products
  • Integrate third party parts, assemblies or products into the Blendid family of products
  • Build highly reliable, serviceable, and maintainable products to satisfy customer requirements, mainly in the commercial food preparation space
  • Develop an engineering roadmap in service of the business roadmap
  • Responsible for all mechanical engineering artifacts such as architecture, designs, drawings, specifications, manufacturing documentation (including PDM, PLM) and approvals
  • Serve as the front face for all aspects of mechanical engineering with internal teams, suppliers, vendors, manufacturers, and investors
  • Interface across levels with other departments such as EE, SW, Product, Marketing, and Operations

About You

  • 5+ years of management experience leading, mentoring and managing engineering teams
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Engineering preferably in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience having shipped and managed the full life cycle of multiple medium-to-high complexity products – from concept, to ID, to PD, to manufacturing, documentation, support, and EOL
  • Strong expertise in CAD SW, ideally Solidworks
  • Lead with a judicious combination of innovation, reliability, simplicity and cost in developing products
  • Proven experience releasing products to manufacturing via systems such as Agile and Arena
  • Expertise in materials and processes – such as plastics, metal – ideally in food space
  • Maintain a first principles approach to solving problems
  • Build versus buy decision-making experience
  • Broad exposure to disciplines such as Thermal (incl. refrigeration), structural, and electromechanical
  • Start-up experience preferred but not required

About the Role

Blendid is seeking a food service professional with multi-unit experience, and a passion for consumer technology to join our Retail Operations team full time in the Atlanta Metropolitan area. The ideal candidate will have experience leading store employees and managers and working with franchise owners in the execution of restaurant standard operating procedures. 

The position will require travel around the Atlanta area and work across weekends and evenings. The role reports to the VP of Retail Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Blendid team on the day-to-day operations of our robotic food kiosks – located both locally in the Atlanta area and in remote locations
  • Lead all NSO (new store opening) activities including staff training, product storage set up, order placement, and excellent customer service
  • Represent Blendid as a liaison to its kiosk operators (licensees and franchisees), vendors, and business partners in the Atlanta region
  • Perform and manage routine repair and maintenance activities of key kiosk components and subsystems
  • Conduct regular audits at the kiosk(s) to ensure that the staff is providing proper customer service, rotating product, and maintaining sanitation standards
  • Directly coach, teach, and hold staff accountable to SOP’s and training standards. Escalate issues as needed to the kiosk food service lead operator and Blendid management team
  • Be ready to set up and operate the kiosk as taught to hourly staff in the event of staffing conflicts
  • Provide “Level 2” remote operations support for all kiosks on assigned shifts ranging from 6 a.m. to midnight daily including weekends
  • Perform and manage any marketing and promotional activities as needed
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to recover the kiosk operations when troubleshooting is required at the kiosk and/or remotely
  • Manage any Blendid hourly or salaried staff to ensure proper coverage of routines at the kiosk and remote

About the Role

Blendid is seeking a talented content writer & social media manager to join our
marketing team and lead development of short and long form copy and management of our B2B and B2C-focused social media channels. The ideal candidate will have
experience working with a variety of content development from a technology company. Working virtually or in-person at our Sunnyvale, CA headquarters and reporting to the
VP of Marketing, you will help us develop, implement, and manage consumer and
customer communication plans to help attract and engage Blendid foodservice operator
customers, prospective investors and smoothie consumers (in that order of priority).
You will work on the Marketing team, but partner closely with our Executive and Sales teams and PR agency to develop communication plans for effective engagement with
investors, customers, and Consumers.
 
Content development to include:
  • Social media – Linkedin, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok
  • Email development and management
  • Blogs and ghost written media articles
  • Press Releases, Press Talking Points, and Interview talking points
  • Periodic drafting of executive speeches
  • Website update copy enhancement
  • Sales overview materials

What You’ll Do

  • Build and execute B2B and B2C social media, blog, and newsletter strategy
  • Generate, edit, and publish daily-to-weekly content (original text, images, video) that is on-brand and on-strategy, and builds meaningful connections with our diverse audiences
  • Create editorial calendars for all tactics
  • Moderate all user-generated feedback on social
  • Write web and sales material copy to promote the Blendid licensee program to customers
  • Collaborate with the marketing team (VP, Managers, Designers, and PR) and other departments (sales, PR, executive team etc.) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions
  • Develop media plan recommendations to promote social and blog activity and increase web traffic
  • Develop and track KPIs for each content type. Continuously improve tactics by reviewing performance and identifying enhancement action plans monthly, or more frequently as needed

About You

  • Proven experience as both a content writer or copywriter and having managed social media for multiple companies; 8 years minimum work experience, with 5+ yrs in social and content writing
  • Excellent writing and editing (photo/video/text), and communication skills in English, with a portfolio of published article, blogs, and/or newsletters
  • Demonstrable social community management experience, including use of syndication tools (Hootsuite, etc) and routine reporting; able to provide examples of prior social media strategies and community results under your prior management
  • Generative, creative thinker develop new angles for content
  • Strong analytical skills to measure and adjust activities to maximize traffic and engagement in a competitive and frequently changing landscape
  • Independent self-starter; highly organized with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate about technology and healthy eating
  • BA/BS in Marketing, English, Journalism or related field
